Story
Manas ka hans is a brilliant attempt to bring forth the life of Goswami Tulsidas. The novel is an attempt to address the complications of religion through Tulsidas while portraying him as a person who was afflicted with all the virtues and vices known to human beings. How Tulsidas finds Shri Ram is a question that the author answers in a fashion that can only be termed brilliant, for lack of better word. The best thing about the work is that it doesn't attempt to glorify any God or deity but simply tries to go into the mind of the devotee - Tulsidas, in this case.

Story
In the 1990s, when Abdul Kareem Telgi spent more than eighty lakh rupees on a dancer in a dance bar one evening, he came under the target of the police, politicians and the underworld. Sanjay Singh, then a reporter at NDTV, broke the Telgi Scam story in 2003. At an estimated 40,000 crores, it was a scam that shook our nation. From how he graduated from being a fruit-seller to a travel agent in Mumbai to how he became the kingpin of such a large scam, that, too, with the entire administrative machinery, politicians, police, hand-in-glove with him—Telgi's story is as fascinating as they come.

Anne Frank’s Diary of a Young Girl is one of the most memorable books in the face of the holocaust that Nazi Germany and its collaborators unleashed on European Jews between 1941 and 1945 across German-occupied Europe. Anne Frank was a German-born Jew hiding in Amsterdam with her family in 1942 when Nazis occupied Holland. She started keeping a diary in hiding - a diary she’d received for her 13th birthday from her parents.

Story
The second book in the Ajaya series, Kali ka Uday tells the story of the vanquished in the epic war Mahabharata. The book narrates the story from the point of view of the Kauravas. The story starts with the Kaurava prince Duryodhana challenging Krishna before the apocalyptic war breaks out. The author describes a city waiting with bated breadth for the outcome of the war. While women, noblemen, priests and humble beings helplessly watch the war and its consequences unfold in front of them, the greedy traders circle the skies in anticipation of what's to come next.

It is an irony of fate that despite being an extremely important and immortal character in the saga of Mahabharata, Ashwatthama has always been neglected. There are other characters in puranic literature, including Ashwatthama, who are considered immortal. But where other characters have received immortality in the form of a boon, Ashwatthama received in the form of a curse!

- By Rakesh Agrawal on 15-02-22
Publisher's Summary

Story is good, narration is bad
Narrator has to work more on her pronunciation.
