Story
Emperor Dharma Yudhisthir of the Kauravas and Empress Panchali Draupadi rule over the unified realm of Aryavarta, an empire built for them by Govinda Shauri with the blessings of the Firstborn and by the might of those whom everyone believes long gone - the Firewrights. Now the Firewrights rise from the ashes of the past, divided as before in purpose and allegiance, and no one, it seems, can stand in the way of the chaos about to be unleashed on the land - not the Firstborn, not the kings of Aryavarta, and not Govinda Shauri.

Story
Aryavarta, the ancient realm of the noble. For generations the Firstborn dynasty of scholar-sages, descendants of Vasishta Varuni and protectors of the Divine Order on earth, has dominated here. For just as long, the Angirasa family of Firewrights, weapon-makers to the kings and master inventors, has defied them. In the aftermath of the centuries-long conflict between the two orders, the once-united empire of Aryavarta lies splintered, a shadow of its former glorious self.

Story
Baali and Sugreeva of the Vana Nara tribe were orphan brothers who were born in abject poverty and grew up as slaves like most of their fellow tribesmen. They were often mocked as the vanaras, the monkey men. Sandwiched between the never-ending war between the Deva tribes in the north and the Asura tribes in the south, the Vana Naras seemed to have lost all hope. But Baali was determined not to die a slave. Aided by his beloved brother, Sugreeva, Baali built a country for his people.

Publisher's Summary
What if you came face to face with the gods?
Phones stop working. Smartwatches die. And arms start glowing with blue scars. This is what happens to Aman Chandra and ten other Souls of Samsara when they are kidnapped from modern-day India and transported to a hidden valley in the Himalayas. In this realm of magic, home to Hindu gods, immortal yogis and mythical beasts, the mission is clear for the Souls of Samsara: to learn the ancient art of yogic sorcery and prepare for a treacherous journey not many can survive.
But why must they go on this journey? And how are the gods connected to it all?
Before they get any answers, the Souls of Samsara realize that there is a larger scheme at play. The king of the gods has passed a controversial order. And Aman must make a tough decision that will change not just his life but the fate of an entire nation . .

Fresh-Fiction
Looking for some good and fresh fiction that's not based on or related to Mahabharat and Ramayan? Check out Samsara!
I was fortunate enough to meet the author in person as well, which only served to increase my excitement for this book.
The beginning of the story was as good as any good fiction with new world building. However, the middle portion of the story was slow-paced and took me a long time to cover. But as I got to the third act of the book, the pace picked up again.
I liked both narrators in the audiobook, but the editing could have been better. You can easily spot where they edited or added words. Overall, I enjoyed it and would love to join the author and his community in growing the Samsaraverse! #Samsaraverse

very dissapointed
the female voice was fine to some extent. but not great. but the male voice is very pathetic. he is trying to read aloud from his stomach. background music could have been stopped, which distracts the concentration.

Story telling needs to be refined
At times I felt there is a disconnect between story points. I would have been if the author took some time introducing the souls of samara and why maha-yatra is needed. Why do only new souls from the plains have to take this maha-yatra why can't existing souls of the valley take this journey and achieve the same? No explanation was given why the soul has to do the given steps to collect the madhu, why can't the souls try a different approach (one with less peril)?
So overall there are a lot of flaws in the story but the voice of the narrator is captivating.

Not that great.
The story is dull and fails to create interest, also the way it ended it seems there is another part to the series. The performance is also not at par plus annoying background music.
