Story
On the surface, this is a biography of an accomplished seeker who mastered the practices of yoga and brought a system for understanding the mysteries of body, mind, and spirit to students in the West. But, like the life of Swami Rama, this audiobook offers more than a sequence of astonishing events. As you read the stories of authentic guru-disciple relationships Swami Rama had both with his master and with his own students, you will see how the spiritual wisdom is transmitted through generations. This book also serves as a guide to advanced practices of yoga and tantra not commonly understood in modern times.

Publisher's Summary
Chants of a Lifetime offers an intimate collection of stories, teachings, and insights from Krishna Das, who has been called "the chant master of American yoga" by the New York Times. Since 1994, the sound of his voice singing traditional Indian chants with a Western flavor has brought the spiritual experience of chanting to audiences all over the world. He has previously shared some of his spiritual journey through talks and workshops, but now he offers a unique book-with-audio download combination that explores his fascinating path and creates an opportunity for just about anyone to experience chanting in a unique and special way.
Chants of a Lifetime includes photos from Krishna Das' years in India and also from his life as a kirtan leader - and the audio that is offered exclusively in the book consists of a number of "private" chanting sessions with the author. Instead of just being performances of chants for listening, the recordings make it seem as if Krishna Das himself is present for a one-on-one chanting session. The idea is for the listener to explore his or her own practice of chanting and develop a deepening connection with the entire chanting experience.

Awesome
Just loved it. It depicts the struggle of each one of us in the material platform. We are all in search of love, and only spiritual master can quest our thirst and longings by directing our "movie of me" to our true identity. Krishna Das beautifully teaches us through his learnings the power of chanting and right association. Thank you for this wonderful journey.

Reflections of an earnest seeker
Loved the flow of Krishna Das' words in his own voice - the sweetness of his stories with Neem Karoli Baba; the longing and struggle after his guru left the body; the humility, surrender and desperation with which he finally took to chanting as his sadhana.

What can be said about the story of a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba
Well the voice of Krishna Das is enough and doesn’t require a review as such. I repeated this audiobook couple of times and every time I find some new story I missed or dint pay attention to and I want to repeat the whole thing again. Truly amazing.

Tears of joy n bliss
Listening to Krishna Das was a feeling which can only be experienced and not written down in words. Words straight from the heart and reaching the heart. Just felt like being in the present moment. I just let the chapters seep into me. Just felt there was some voice which woke me up at 3 am tonight to listen to him for the last 1 odd hour and finish it around 415 am. Just have a desire to meet KD once and it will happen if it has too. Love and Light. ~Gautam
