Publisher's Summary

What does it mean to be a man in the modern world? Throughout history, being a man has meant different things. Maybe being a man was about being a good hunter, or a good soldier, a good businessman, or maybe good with women. Hard Times Create Strong Men examines what it means to be a man in the modern world relative to money, sex, religion, and politics. This audiobook examines what worked and what doesn’t work based on proven history instead of feelings. This audiobook is raw, real, and politically incorrect. It will threaten and challenge your ideas of what it means to be a man and how to better serve your purpose. As the cycles of history prove over and over again, hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times”.

Best book ever

I was addicted to this book. I would love to listen to it over and over again. Whatever Stefan has spoken about being a man and it's struggles are true and I can resonate with it. Though there might be some disagreements in a few chapters, overall it felt like the author has poured out his heart and backed it with historic proof and data.

Too repetitive. Mostly common sense, nothing new.

1. The book claims to be a guide for people who either do not have a father figure, or do have one, but isn't competent enough to teach them the ways of life. But the book rather focus on absolutely generic and common sensical aspects of life, that don't really need to be thought about. (Example: don't run behind girls, instead be a hard working man and you'll get a good women whom you can wed) (I mean, I didn't buy such a costly book to read this! wtf?)

2. The books tries to derive lessons from a lot of stories from the past, and from cultures that were there before. This makes almost 80% of the content to be true (only true, not necessarily implementable) with respect to today's time. The 15-20% is left because the author (Stephan) appears to be dwelling too much in the past, and fails to recognise the changes that should be promoted with change in time, culture and technology.

3. The biggest blow is this one: I bought the book because I saw a few videos of the author on instagram and thought they made sense. (Which they really do make sense for me atleast), but when I bought tbe book, to my surprise, it was all a repetition of the same stuff, but in a more elaborated format.

To sum up: if you are at least as concerned about life, or as intelligent enough to at least decide to read this book, then you are intelligent enough to already know about these tips that are written in the book. The author was an entrepreneur and knew how to sell, which is why the book has such an attractive title, and interesting names of the chapters in the index, but the content is just too mediocre. That's all.

(R.I.P Stephan)

Extremist!!!

The book seems wise at places but seems mostly a work to justify own demons of the author. I would not deem his opinions to be much of truth in the present world.
