Akeem Balogun was born in Hammersmith, London, and spent his early years in Brixton. His fiction has appeared in publications such as Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine, Now Then, Pomme Journal and elsewhere. He has also created project-themed stories for the likes of Festival of the Mind and Found Fiction. He lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
