Alexander Marais was born in San Francisco, California and raised in the Greater Bay Area. Surrounded by exotic cuisine, culture, films, and art - it seemed a natural fit for him to ease into book writing and filmmaking as careers. Marais hopes that his work will both serve as a form of dark escapism and as a way of highlighting real world issues. He is the author of All That Glitters Is Not Gold, released by Snow Leopard Publishing.
