Dr. Anindya Kundu is a 2-time TED Speaker, with over 6 million views on his TED Talks, and is author of the book, The Power of Student Agency: Looking Beyond Grit to Close the Opportunity Gap. A sociologist who studies the contexts that allow young people to thrive, Anindya is also an award-winning educator whose research aims to create more pathways to opportunity for all. His areas of expertise include K-12 achievement, higher education equity, educational psychology; and inclusive workforce development. Anindya received his PhD in at New York University (NYU) and studied under Pedro Noguera and Angela Duckworth. Anindya connects his research to practice for broad stakeholders and his work has appeared in NPR Education, MSNBC, The Miami Herald, and more.
