Bridgid Dean spent several years of her childhood in Germany before returning to the states. She attended The College of New Jersey, where she received a B.A. in Literature. She currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband and two cats. Her favorite authors include Holly Black, Kelly Link, Jeffrey Ford, and Jennifer Egan. The Girl in the Forest is her first book.
