Jenifer Stockdale was born and raised on Martha's Vineyard. The youngest of ten children, Jenifer aspired to be a writer since she could hold a pencil in her hand. As an extra in both Jaws I and II, Jenifer wanted to grow up to write and direct movies. But, then inspired by a book her mother bought for her at a yard sale, "One Child" by Torey Hayden, Jenifer became a special education teacher, working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities. Jenifer also has provided care in her home for foster children and adults with disabilities for over 15 years. Her first novel, "This was my House First" is one she hopes to be the first of many. Jenifer is married and is the mother of a grown son.
