Dr. Luis Raúl Orozco is a licensed therapist, author, and organizational consultant with more than 20 years of experience in mental health and human services. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Whittier Counseling Center in Whittier, California, where he has dedicated his career to helping individuals, families, and organizations navigate trauma, crisis, conflict, emotional healing, and personal transformation.
He previously served as a Mental Health Commissioner for Los Angeles County and spent more than a decade with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health in clinical and supervisory roles. He holds a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC), a Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA).
In addition to his books, Dr. Orozco has created therapeutic journals that serve as practical clinical tools, guiding readers and clients toward deeper reflection, emotional awareness, healing, and personal growth.
