Martha Elliott has been a journalist all her adult life--working for both television networks and for print publications. During her long career, Elliott produced hundreds of television shows for PBS and been the Editor in Chief and Publisher of THE CONNECTICUT LAW TRIBUNE. She's co-written books on constitutional history with the late, veteran journalist Fred W. Friendly, who was both her mentor and colleague. She also taught a wide variety of courses at Columbia University and at the high school level. Elliott has traveled all over the world, but her favorite place is sitting on her porch by a lake in Maine, listening to the loons and writing. Her favorite activities are playing with her three grandchildren (especially when they visit Maine), boating, reading, and alpine skiing. She just finished a novel, THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO M, and is already at work on her next nonfiction book.
