When I was seventeen my father sent me away from the family home through the glass panel of our front door. That day ended my formal schooling and I was auomatically enrolled in the school of hard knocks, finding out as I went, where all the potholes were along the road to maturity, and falling in many of them as I searched for meaning and happiness. I made a lot of mistakes, and many happy discoveries, and now in old age, by profound luck, wise friends, and loving spiritual guidance, I find myself in a wonderful place with a loving family and good friends. Looking back now, I'm amazed at what I did in that early period of my life, and I would like to share some of these events with you in my writing.
