Robert Teitelman is veteran and award-winning writer, editor and author. He was the founding editor in chief for 13 years of The Deal LLC, which pioneered daily coverage of the transactional markets, from mergers to private equity to venture capital and bankruptcy. Before The Deal, he had served as the editor of Institutional Investor magazine, after a numbers of years overseeing the publication's Wall Street and banking coverage. He also spent five years at Forbes magazine and several more at the now-defunct Financial World. Besides his new book, "Bloodsport: When Ruthless Dealmakers, Shrewd Ideologues, and Brawling Lawyers Toppled the Corporate Establishment," he is the author of "Gene Dreams: Wall Street, Academia and the Rise of Biotechnology" (1989) and "Profits of Science: The American Marriage of Business and Technology" (1994).
