"I see things. I write, and sometimes paint, what I see." Hi! Thanks for stopping by to get to know me. I am a visual artist. My books are illustrated with my paintings and drawings. Each image is created out of the same idea that inspired my writing. Often the picture came first. Susan BIO At 19 years old Susan married Steve Ward of Guymon, OK, in 1976 in Tennessee. Steve was an accomplished French hornist and pianist; he became a pastor, builder, and residential painter. They had been married for forty-five years when Steve passed away from Covid-19 in early 2022. They have ten biological children, six sons and four daughters. They have a growing number of grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Susan has been a leader in the home school community in Tennessee both statewide and locally. She has home schooled all of her children and three of her grandchildren who lost their mother due to cancer in 2013. All of her children and adult grandchildren are successful and gainfully employed. Susan is a visual artist and has taken awards in local shows and online competitions. Her main media are oils, pencil portraiture, and abstract wax painting. She has served in various positions on the board of a local artists league, including as its president. In the year before Steve died Susan obtained her amateur radio license. She has since earned the next two levels in amateur radio acquiring the highest amateur license available, Amateur Extra Class. She is active in the local ham radio club and participates regularly in local radio nets. She has served as her county Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) Coordinator, under the county Emergency Management Agency Director. Her Book Titles include: WOMANHOOD AND GOD’S DOMINION CALL: A TYPOLOGY OF THE OVERCOMING CHURCH The theme of the importance of a woman’s call to her home and beyond grows into a prophetically symbolic call to the universal Bride of Christ in the world today. Important discussions on Jurisdiction are included. BECOMING CHILDREN: A MEDITATIVE JOURNAL A year in her own journal covering October 1, 2023 through December 2024, exploring themes of Biblical prophecy, God’s kingdom, and Jesus’ admonition to Christians to become as little children, as well as documenting current events in an eventful year. THE DAWNING OF THE DAY OF ATONEMENT: HE WHO BLEEDS The Feasts of God are a prophetic timeline. This book is a call to the Church to be interceding priests according to I Peter 2:9. The Day of Atonement is for intercession. Intercessors place their bodies, and maybe their lives, between victims and abusers. Justice requires intercessors. Intercessors bleed. JUSTICE, A TWO SONS DIPTYCH Written as a companion to THE DAWNING above, Justice, A Two Sons Diptych is a free verse novel. It is short and different, with a thoughtful challenge. "I am saying that justice can never be satisfied by suffering." From "Justice", by George MacDonald, Unspoken Sermons, Third Series
