Themistocles John Politis is a writer, illustrator, and healthcare professional. The son of a Greek immigrant who grew up reading by oil lamp in a home without electricity, Politis spent his childhood bouncing between the United States and summers on a Greek island. He later pursued an education in the sciences and now works in healthcare. He spends much of his time thinking about life, mortality, and meaning—so naturally, his creative work tends to reflect that. Drawing has become a vital part of his mental wellness, and most days, it's how he processes the world. He is a proud husband and father, and he tries to keep the house clean, though the toddler has other ideas. Politis posts artwork on Instagram under @themo_art, where he (not to brag) has dozens of followers.
