Dr Val Wilson holds a PhD and MSc in diabetes health education and has had Type 1 diabetes for 50 years. Through her books her mission is to provide information, education and support to others with diabetes, health professionals and carers. Her book, Psychology in Diabetes Care and Practice won the 2023 British Psychological Society award for best text book.
