1961, Volker Luedecke was born in Hannover, Germany. Since 1983 he lives in Berlin. There he studied writing drama and acting at the school of fine arts (HdK u.a.) in western Berlin. The city was devided in two parts at this time. 1988 his first theatre play "Aufstieg zu Prospero" was invited to the famous theatre festival "Theatertreffen Berlin" by Klaus Völker. From 1990 till 1991 he was shooting the movie "Salmiak Noir" (produced by Filz Film Berlin, director and screenplay Volker Luedecke). The movie was invited to the international swedish film festival in Umea. 1997 Volker Luedecke won the famous literary award "Else Lasker Schueler Dramatikerpreis" for his theatre play "Darja". Theatre plays by playwright Volker Luedecke were shown at Landestheater Mecklenburg/Neustrelitz, Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Badisches Staatstheater, Erstes Autorentheater Berlin, Theater and Philharmonie Thüringen and Theater unterm Turm, Berlin. You will find theater plays written by Volker Luedecke in the publishing firms Drei Masken Verlag, Munic, stueckgut verlag, Munic, Felix Bloch Erben, Berlin. In December 2013 Volker Luedecke published his first "Berlin crime story" called "Kommissar Katzorke". In December 2014 his short stories "Fracking Desaster Blues" followed, foreword by Prof. Dr. Christiane Hipp. In 2015 Volker Luedecke is about to shoot the miniseries Morignone. www.morignone-filmprojekt.com
