it's highly descriptive, but nonsense. I couldn't endure it. I exercised my right to ditch it in the 4th chapter. Obama must have seen something in this to recommend it..

it's an obligation for every Indian to read this book before he calls himself one. Ambedkar passionately and incisively confronts the duplicity and injustice of the caste system that continues to threaten our society. so much injustice has been meted out to so many in the name of caste being the core principle of Hinduism. it's heart-rending to say the least.

What a book! This is insightful and well written. Well read too, I may add. Covers a wide swathe and makes one think hard. I loved the chapters on justice and God. This is heavy lifting, so give yourself many breaks.
