This is by far one of my favourite Heyer stories. The characters have been beautifully illustrated, and the story itself is more down to earth than one would consider of Heyer’s other novels.

Jenny and Adam, over time, develop a beautiful relationship, although this has been played down. It needn’t have been. It was more real than any of the other relationships Heyer has written. And in true Heyer style, there were some good old ‘laugh out loud’ moments! She does, however, tend to over use the word ‘comfortable’.

Would definitely recommend this one for any GH fan!

Austen’s humour has been truly brought to life with the narration and performances. Enthralling and entertaining!
