This book is one of the few books i wanted to listen again immediately after finishing for the first time. It gave me so many ideas to implement immediately and forced me to think what is truly essential in my life. To break out of things which seem important but are mere distractions. The important feature of this book was the subtle differences mentioned between Essentialism and non-essentialism. Truly the essentialist wisdom from author's own experiences. A great listen.

I was referred to this book by few of my podcast (Lifestyle Architecture Lab) guests. I did know that it contains the story of Michelle Robinson and Michelle Obama. But after listening to this book I can safely say that it contains the story of an American dream created through discipline, rigour and forward progress. This story makes you feel up close and personal with Obamas especially Michelle and how she balanced out being a mom, a wife, first lady of the United States and much more. At many spots I could feel the emotions rushing through myself. Overall an amazing and powerful performance by Michelle Obama, both with her narration and the book itself.

Yuval has provided us a window into the historical and ancient times. Sapiens is full of knowledge and information that every homo sapien should know.

The narrator (Derek Perkins) has done a fantastic job with the pace and the clarity for this book.

I would recommend this book for sure.

This is the first time I've read/listened to Elizabeth Gilbert's work. It felt like that I was waiting to hear what she had to say. With all her experience as a writer and as a creative, her stories to teach simple lessons and her force to finally tell you to start working again. All was big magic. I couldn't stop listening to this book once I started. A must listen for any human cause creativity is what we all have inbuilt inside us and this book will help you regain access to it and remind you of the big magic.

This book is full of wisdom. Sometimes direct but sometimes indirect. It will teach you how to connect with ypur inner deeper self.
As I listened to this in an audiobook format I would say the narrator in initial parts felt like a machine voice. But later it was fine.
But writing of Parker J. Palmer was great.
