Story
In a small town in Sweden it appears to be an ordinary day. But look more closely, and you'll see a mysterious masked figure approaching a bank. Two hours later, chaos has descended. A bungled attempted robbery has developed into a hostage situation - and the offender is refusing to communicate their demands to the police. Inside the building, fear quickly turns to irritation for the seven strangers trapped inside. But as the minutes tick by, they begin to suspect that the criminal mastermind holding them hostage might be more in need of rescuing than they are.

Amazing story, poor narration
Reviewed: 17-04-20
The story of Perveen Mistry, the first female lawyer of India, is an amazing tale. I absolutely loved the story, but the narration was very poor. The pace is uneven, so you have to keep adjusting the speed, and the volume and clarity changes every few minutes. At several places, the narrator mumbles the end of a sentence, which is not at all clear. But the story is so good that I got hooked, and kept listening inspite of all that. I intend to buy the book too as soon as this lockdown is over.

Story
Is it possible to write a sidesplitting novel about the breakup of the perfect marriage? If the writer is Nora Ephron, the answer is a resounding yes. For in this inspired confection of adultery, revenge, group therapy, and pot roast, the creator of Sleepless in Seattle reminds us that comedy depends on anguish as surely as a proper gravy depends on flour and butter.

Great narration

Meryl Streep is a great narrator, adding flavours of her own to the story. The story begins with Rachel, a cookbook writer and housewife, finding out that her husband is cheating on her. Dealing with infidelity is hard on any day, but it’s especially difficult when you’re seven months pregnant, and have another toddler in tow. And that’s the situation Rachel finds herself in. With the support of her friends and family, and with a healthy dose of humour and food, she deals with her problems.
