The biggest problems with this book are the narrative and storyline. It has too many loopholes and the author does an unimpressive job at covering it (and it's evident through that he is aware of these loopholes). The narration is far from captivating and it's evident that he is trying too hard to save the story.

Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with this adaptation by BBC. The story and theme are complex, like every Salman Rushdie, but it becomes so difficult to keep track because the background music drowns the plot at many points. While the artists are trying their best to keep it engaging, the narrative is choppy and incomplete.

Superb!

I started the Ram series with a lot of apprehension because Iam coming with huge expectations post the Shiva trilogy. To my surprise, I actually quite liked this series so far. It's simple, authentic and touching. Don't come in with too many expectations, and you'll like it!

Becoming, is one of the best audiobooks.

The narration is the winner. It's like listening to a movie. Casting of each and every single character is on point. Wish it was the whole book and not just a excerpt.
