I enjoyed this story - I binge-listened in about 3 days as I couldn't wait to find out what happens at the end. It was an unpredictable ending, but it added a good twist to the usual type of romance novel. Almost 16 hours long so it is very good value for money.
The only complain about the performance of the narrator was the absolutely terrible New Zealand accent that she adopted for one of the characters. I am from New Zealand and believe me, she did a very bad job. Better to have stuck with her own accent than try to use an accent that she clearly cannot do.
I watched the movie after listening to the audio book and the audio book is so much better than the movie.

The story is great - my children and I read the paperback and loved it.
We did enjoy this podcast over all, but found one section of the story (when the witches have their annual conference) very hard to make out what the narrator was saying because she had adopted a very “evil” accent for the witches, especially the grand high witch.
For about 30-40 minutes my children kept saying “what did she say?” and I usually had no idea what was being said - the accent was far too strong.
When that section past we enjoyed the rest of the book.
