The best feature of the book is its holistic approach to money.
Authors who focus on Micro generally ignore Macro & vice versa. But Morgan Housel has woven a beautiful narrative which starts from Micro & takes the reader / listener to Macro level.
It is surely a must read for anyone who is interested in handling money effectively.

If you have loved Pixar movie 'Inside out' then you will love this book. Just like in the movie our emotions are shown to have their distinct character, Varoufakis tells the progression of Economics with the help of famous mythological or literary stories, giving each concept of Economics a distinct character, easy to understand and relate to it.

Despite being an economist and a famous one, he is candid enough to accept that the business of economics can not left to the experts.

One more point of beauty of the book is that despite not giving false hope for better future, the writer manages to keep the readers optimistic and feel responsible for future.

Lastly, this book was written as a dialogue with a teenage daughter. The reader of the book has maintained a perfect voice tone of a loving father in tune with the soul of the book.

From 1400 to 2009 is a big canvas chosen by the author and he is successful in giving a guided tour of the events that shaped economic history.
Since it is more of a lecture series than a book, every lecture is designed for around 29-30 minutes. Despite the limitation of time the author is successful in giving many points which the listener can explore to understand the subject matter. Very good book as a walking companion.
