Story
How far would you go to get your dream job? In The Temp, Warren (Marek Larwood) is sent to a variety of temp jobs by his recruitment officer Aimee (Vicki Pepperdine) on the promise that if he does a good job, it might become permanent. And each time, the job turns out to be more dangerous and ludicrous than advertised. Open-minded to the point of mindless, Warren never seems to notice that the job is very different to the job description - he just wants to do a good job, and get made permanent.

I got to this one as Audible was promoting a bunch of titles for free in January.
I enjoyed The Temp, a British comedy of the various exploits of a temp is who isn't particularly bright. The Temp, Warren, temps as a Chauffeur, a Lab Assistant, a Prison Warden, a Data Entry guy, a Flight Attendant and then finally joins a cult.
The stories are goofy and the performances are excellent what makes the whole thing very entertaining.

Story
World-renowned adventurer and broadcaster, Bear Grylls, presents some of the most incredible near-death experiences, told by those who lived to tell the tale. These extraordinary and diverse accounts of human bravery, mental and physical strength - and sometimes sheer luck - range from being stranded for more than 50 days at sea, to surviving world-changing acts of terrorism. Bear contextualises each feat of endurance or bravery by relating them to his own experiences of near-misses and misfortune from his military career and survivalist adventures.

When starting this audiobook, I was expecting Bear Grylls to read the stories or recount his survival stories but it was different people recounting their survival stories. It was good but this felt more like a podcast than an audiobook.

Story
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

A Good Conclusion to Bobiverse
Reviewed: 17-01-20
All These Worlds is a fitting and satisfying conclusion to the Bobiverse.
This time around, the story moves at a fast pace to the point where some of the storylines are glossed over but the main points are still there...
Take care of Brazillian threat... the battle with the Others... save all the people of the earth... be free!
I like the way character stories were neatly tied up and the optimistic ending.
I listened to this on audible and narration by Ray Porter is excellent. Looking forward to listening to more works by him.

Bob and his copies have been spreading out from Earth for 40 years now, looking for habitable planets. But that's the only part of the plan that's still in one piece.

I had picked this book earlier this year as it was written by Tom Hanks, I wanted to check it out. I read a story or two and then moved on to other books. Few months ago, I bought this on Audible and finished the whole thing.
Tom Hanks reading to book to me was fun, the last story in the audiobook, Stay With Us is really well produced with the music and sound effects. some of the stories are good, some well, just okay. Overall, it was a good listen and I enjoyed it.

Reacher is trained to notice things. He’s on a Greyhound bus, watching an elderly man sleeping in his seat, with a fat envelope of cash hanging out of his pocket. Another passenger is watching too...obviously hoping to get rich quick. As the mugger makes his move, Reacher steps in....

Blue Moon was surprisingly fun. Reacher takes on two gangs with a ragtag group of veterans and a pretty waitress. The story moves at a brisk pace and the action is up pretty much all the time. It's also quite violent, Reacher's body count is certainly high.
I enjoyed this book more than few previous entries. Go read it.

Meet Samuel: stalled writer, bored teacher at a local college, obsessive player of online video games. He hasn't seen his mother, Faye, in decades, not since she abandoned her family when he was a boy. Now she has suddenly reappeared, having committed an absurd politically motivated crime that electrifies the nightly news, beguiles the Internet, and inflames a divided America. The media paints Faye as a radical hippie with a sordid past, but as far as Samuel knows, his mother was an ordinary girl who married her high school sweetheart.
