Story
This book talks about the experiences of hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett, during his years in the United Provinces, or what is now known as Uttarakhand. Here we see a different side to Corbett, not as the intrepid hunter of big cats but a man who blends seamlessly with the mountain folk of Northern India. Join him in his adventures and feel the thrills of hunting; follow him into dense forests as he encounters a dreaded dacoit who has a heart of gold; and enjoy the tales of love, loyalty, and resilience of simple villagers.

Tedious narration

I was keenly looking forward to this, having read Man Eating Leopard of Rudraprayag, some thirty years ago. The narration is very tedious and I gave up after about half an hour.

Story
In Super Bowl XLIX, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made one of the most controversial calls in football history: With 26 seconds remaining, and trailing by four at the Patriots' one-yard line, he called for a pass instead of a handing off to his star running back. The pass was intercepted, and the Seahawks lost. Critics called it the dumbest play in history. But was the call really that bad? Or did Carroll actually make a great move that was ruined by bad luck? Even the best decision doesn't yield the best outcome every time.

Hoping to hear this yet and to develop a toolkit to put these lessons into action. While listening to the book, I could immediately think of two professional situations where I could do much more. Come Monday morning, I’m going to implement those. Thank you Annie Duke.

Story
Figuring out how to deal with today's critical economic problems is perhaps the great challenge of our time. Much greater than space travel, what is at stake is the whole idea of the good life as we have known it. Immigration and inequality, globalisation and technological disruption, slowing growth and accelerating climate change - these are sources of great anxiety across the world. The resources to address these challenges are there - what we lack are ideas that will help us jump the wall of disagreement and distrust that divides us.

The authors had a shot at writing the next one in the league of Thinking Fast and Slow. Their prejudiced political overtones ensure that this book “won’t Make Economics Great Again”. In the spirit of listening patiently to the other side, I plodded through it. Loved the performance by James Lurie but found the narrative tedious and full of personal prejudice.

Performed by talented actors from across the Wizarding World, this is the first ever audiobook edition of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which was originally written in 2007 by J.K. Rowling and has raised money for her children's charity Lumos ever since. As familiar to Hogwarts students as "Cinderella" and "Sleeping Beauty" are to Muggle children, Beedle's stories are a collection of popular fairy tales written for young witches and wizards. So, if you're wondering what's in store in this brand-new audio edition...well, your ears are in for a treat.

Enchanting with superior production quality

This is the best audible production I’ve heard so far. The narrative is detailed, deep and engrossing. The narrators have exceeded themselves. The sound effects lend reality to the tale. The charity Lumos has a very noble objective. Associated with a similar charity, I can relate how this cause has inspired everyone into delivering a superb product.

Once upon a time in a galaxy, there’s a whole new world!

I’m such a huge fan of popular culture and fictional universes in general and Star Wars and Disney in particular. This book was a must read because the behind the scene stories of building Disney in the 21st century would have to be enthralling. But the best part was what the plumbing inside of Iger’s head reveals - a good human being and a good leader. Like all of pop culture heroes, you are initially attracted to them for their superior strength but learn to love them for their character. Iger comes across as one such.
