I would have loved it if narrator was a female as author of book is female.

A very good book to understand condition of a doctor when he himself becomes ill. This book is a reminder that life is short and we need to be prepared for death as it may come anytime.
However i have read many books by doctors and in some of them including this one i have noticed that they mention being emotionally affected by demise of a terminally ill patient, which I think is a fault and not something to be glorified. Me being a medical student have learned to not be affectionate to patient which is a good quality according to me in this profession. There is difference between being affectionate and compassionate. Compassion for a patient goes long way but being affectionate to such a level that death of a patient results in emotional breakdown of doctor is not a good quality for doctor. For the same reason i gave a star less to book.
That being said this is a very good book and must read for all people as it deals with death and everyone dies INCLUDING DOCTORS.

Dont go on title! It's so much more than title!

One of the best book i read this year. Absolutely go for it. IT IS "NOT" USUAL RANT OF HOW LIFE AS A DR IS HARD OR HOW TOUGH IT IS TO BECOME A DOCTOR.
It will definitely improve your understanding of human brain and will burst your myth regarding brain and has very awesome collection of neuro-cases and practical take away points from it. Book can be layman's insight into developing brain science.

Good! Not brilliant.

Hated the undisciplined nature of main character but overall hurdles in the life of main character was good. Performance(as audiobook) was damn awesome, that made it more enjoyable. Must read if you are in relationship with a doctor and are not doctor yourself! Ending is very good.

Simply humorous!!

Book is fun but a bit exaggerated.
