I doubt in 1984 people could relate to it but in 2020 with our phones listening and tracking us, it seems George Orwell did a great prophetic job.

the reason for 4 stars is cause it's just a narration of a dystopian future on and on and on. after sometime it was like ok i get it, can there be some drama. there was a little drama when Winston met Julia but it hardly felt something will happen. just kept the same darkness and monotone (not narration but story) all the way to the end.
feeling depressed after hearing it.

well researched and great narration

really enjoyed the story of rise and the fall of the greatest empire. the story was sufficient in details to bind and not get down too much into the nitty gritty to get lost. i listned to it with the engagement of a fiction novel.
the audible narration was very captivating and engaging.

after hearing mythos I was eager to hear this. For his performance Stephen deserves an standing ovation. this time I did not enjoy the story as much as mythos but nonetheless the stories were very good (just that personally I found mythos better)

it was like a science fiction novel

loved the narration and the story. what was most inspiring was, there was no hint of animosity towards Republicans despite all the setbacks. it felt he just took it all in his stride as part of politics. looking forward to season two ;)

story is great and narration is even better. I almost lived the story. though I have admit it's difficult to remember so many characters but it was fun nonetheless. thank you for the book :)

story was great. narrator did not bother to learn 3 syllable sanskrit words. I had to look up what was the word narrator was trying to say. ironically he seemed to speak French and Hebrew phrases well

Great story and awesome presentation

Albert, getting preferential attachment going for you (if you need any) ;).
Jokes apart it's an excellent book and much better than reading any self help book.
In ancient Indian scripture there is a quotation from Bhagvat Gita: 'karma kar phal ki chinta mat kar'. that would translate to 'perform action don't worry about fruits'. I could hear that in the 5th law and it was inspiring.

All the other laws tied up well with the last one in the final chapter.
narration was great too :)
thank you
