The story was engaging mostly because of the narration. it was an interesting look through a young girl's journey through her early years to old age and all that happened in between. But nothing spectacular

Its a really good book though not for me

There is too much gore for my liking but I understand why many will love this book. The story is well spun, amazingly imaginative and hovers somewhere between fantasy and sci fi. I wish the narrator was more closer to the age of the protagonist so it would seem more real.

I went into this story a skeptic and came out mind blown. I wasnt sure if a band in 70s will resonate with me but what a build up. Narration is excellent.

JK Rowling has brought yet another great book to us, however, it could have been tighter. Towards the end, it dragged. But Stephen Fry was just outstanding w his narration.

I loved the book. Its really just about relationships, broken hearts and memories. Its a beautifully written story, could have been a tad shorter but overall very engaging

I know this book is popular with some great reviews. but had it not been for the narrator, I would have lost interest at the slow pace and story.

This was my first Neil Gaiman and you need to have a thing for this genre to enjoy it fully. It was hard for me to follow every part and understand connections but the performance and direction more than made up for it. I could visualise the story vividly.

It was an interesting story and good twist but very poor colloqial language. Narrator had tried hard to inflect his voice for some characters but they all sounded exactly the same.

Kristin Hannah does it again! The storyline and the narration are both equally heart wrenching and beautiful. The book set during Hitler era gives you a glimpse of the brave french men and women, ordinary people who did extraordinary things - its a story about two extraordinary sisters.
