I found the storyline unusual and enjoyed many of the chapters but found it dragging a bit because of too many different scenarios.
The narrator was excellent and created the ambience very well.

A true Agatha Christie mystery.

Alternating between the past and the present, the story unravels beautifully, bringing out the personality of the famous author and giving us a realistic glimpse into her life.
I really enjoyed it and couldn't stop listening!

This book draws you in very swiftly and gently. The story alternates between modern day USA and ancient Turkey. Rumi's Sufi philosophy is expressed through the storyline very well, making you think about life and love.
The narrator is excellent, changing his tone and his accent to suit the characters.
I will definitely hear it again.

This is a very sensitively written book. I liked the short chapters, each one focusing on describing Leila's life or her friends.
The narrative flows easily like a river, culminating in the final moments.
I enjoyed the author's depiction of each character with nicknames, and their relationship with each other and Leila.
The magnificence of the city of Istanbul with it's ancient past is brought out very eloquently.
A wonderful read!

I enjoyed this book although certain parts were difficult to relate to since I live in a different country.
I admire the way she tackled and handled every situation, never backing down.

I enjoyed this book. It made more of an impact because the author herself narrated it. I had been using some of the tips given here, e.g. of listening to your heart, expressing yourself in a relationship, but the 5 second rule has been very helpful in many other situations.
Thank you, Mel!

A very enjoyable 21 day meditation!
The narrator has a soothing voice and speaks in an easy, persuasive manner.
Each day's meditation and the explanation before it focuses on one step. This makes it easier to learn the process.
I really enjoyed it and found it enhanced my regular meditation.

Amazing book! The story is so compelling, I found it difficult to stop. The narrator, Suzanne Toren deserves major credit, as she not only brought the scenes alive but also took me into the mind and feelings of Hedy, helping me identify with her many times.
The fascinating life of a remarkable woman has been brought into focus magnificently by Marie Benedict.
