It was a great experience. i enjoyed it more than the handmaid's tale. The true hero of the story is aunt Lydia of course. Vengeance was served. It is more gorier than the previous one.

Being a woman of 21st century the story gave me goosebumps. It is shocking to read about such society. I was able to visualise the scenes closing my eyes. I was disgusted to see such humiliation of women. The narrator did a tremendous job. Her modulations were appropriate. The only thing that bothered me is the writing style. The narration jumps from reality to past memories then back to reality then inner thoughts to so fast that it loses its meaning. At first i thought "what lines did i miss?? She was talking about her mother and then she is using 'he' !!!" Then i realised the pattern. It is hard to believe it has been first published in 1984! Truly a work ahead of time. I believe if you listen to it after 50years from now it will hold the same charm like today. Age old classic it is.

Very witty and smartly presented way of storytelling. Had great experience during listening to it. There are some contradictory topics but still it will ponder in your mind. people will learn to question after reading this book even who didn't bother to think. The author is very objective. His way of thinking will make you think too.

A spectacular experience to listen to Mr. Bond's autobiography. Nothing to say it's Ruskin Bond! Really enjoyed it from start to finish.
