If you are looking to understand more about World War 1 this will disappoint. It provides a fleeting account of the prevailing situation in England, Russia and Germany and a bit in America before and during the war.

Epic, indeed!

To peek into the geopolitics of an era 400 years before, into an unique culture, its ethos, its grandeur and its own internal turmoil was fascinating.

The narration is so gripping that I unconsciously started saying "Kama, Nay?" in hopeless situations!

At the end of the book, the author feels sad that he has to leave Tibet. I felt sad that the book came to an end.
