 時は江戸・享保年間。八代将軍徳川吉宗の側近である御用取次・加納久通より「目安箱改め方」を拝命した想身流柔術の使い手、竜巻誠十郎に新たなお役目が言い渡された。来る6月22日、真宗・幸徳寺において、幕府の実力者たちも参列する大規模な法式が開かれる。その門主・栄如に、いかがわしき女たちと通じ、妖しげな加持祈祷を行なっているという噂が立っているのだという。その真偽を探るうち、誠十郎は幸徳寺の近隣で狐憑きなど様々な怪異が起きていることを知る。政で救えぬ人々のため、天涯孤独の侍が江戸を奔る。©2009 Kan Shoda (P)2024 Audible, Inc. Historical
