 2013年、87歳で亡くなった父は元医師だが、医療否定主義者だった。不摂生ぶりも医者の不養生の限度を超えていた。若いころ、糖尿病になったが血糖値も測らず甘い物食べ放題の生活を続けながら勝手にインシュリンの量を増やして自然治癒させた。前立腺がんになっても「これで長生きせんですむ!」と叫び治療を拒否。こんなふうに医学常識を無視し自由奔放に暮らした。そんな父が寝たきりになって1年数カ月、医療や介護に対する私自身の常識が次々と覆った。父から教わった医療の無力と死への考え方をここでご紹介したい。©YO KUSAKABE, GENTOSHA 2014 (P)2025 Audible, Inc.
