 لم ينل كتاب في الأدب العربي شهرة كتاب "الأغاني" لأبي الفرج الأصفهاني، وهو منذ أن ظهر من ألف عام قلَّ من لم يسمع به، أو يقرأ طرفا منه، أو يعتمد عليه في شيء مما يتصل بالتاريخ والحضارة، فقد كان الأصفهاني أحد أعلام عصره، شاعرٌ وراوٍ ومؤرخ وعالمٌ في الأنساب والسيرة. كان أبو الفرج ذا شخصية ثقافية متعددة الجوانب كثيرة المعارف، وقد قال فيه القاضي التنوخي : "ومن الرواة المتسعين الذين شاهدناهم أبو الفرج علي بن الحسين الأصبهاني فإنه كان يحفظ من الشعر والأغاني والأخبار والآثار والحديث المسند والنسب، ما لم أر قط من يحفظ مثله! وكان شديد الاختصاص بهذه الأشياء، ويحفظ دون ما يحفظ منها علوما أخر، منها : اللغة، والنحو، والخرافات، والسير، والمغازي، ومن آلة المنادمة شيئا كثيرا مثل علم الجوارح والبيطرة ونتفا من الطب والنجوم والأشربة وغير ذلك". في هذا الكتاب سنبحر في حياة الأصفهاني لنتعرَّف عليه عن قرب وننهل من عمله وأدبه.©2019 Storyside (P)2019 Storyside Art & Literature Authors Poetry
