don't let the eurocentricism put you off. this collection offers a broad outlook on various books, ranging from religious to scientific to literary. the choice of books can seem rather idiosyncratic at times. there is darwin but no newton. there is the bhagwada gita and the analects but no dhammapada. there is heidegger but no wittgenstein. there is the king james bible but no nietzsche. there is upton sinclair but no hemingway. there is ben franklin's autobiography but not wintston churchill's. the lectures have been pulled from various great courses series. this is a great starter in case you're having difficulty choosing a lecture series.
