Ralph Richardson plays The Reverend Mr. Yorick (Sterne thinly disguised) during his amorous journey through France. Love beckons and the Shakespeare-loving Comte de Brissac saves him from a French prison.
"Theatre Royal" is a series of radio dramas owned and restored by Heritage Media, part of the Divine Art Recordings Group. First broadcast in 1953-4, it was the only radio series in which Laurence Olivier played dramatic roles. Other leading actors included Ralph Richardson, Orson Welles, Margaret Lockwood, Alec Guinness, Robet Donat and Trevor Howard.
