Publisher's Summary
In honor of Madeleine L'Engle's 100th birthday, fans are invited to enjoy this archival audiobook, originally recorded in 1993 and newly restored! Listen to the voice of the author as Madeleine L'Engle reads her Newbery Medal-winning novel A Wrinkle in Time.
Meg Murry, her little brother, Charles Wallace, and their mother are having a midnight snack on a dark and stormy night when an unearthly stranger appears at their door. He claims to have been blown off course, and goes on to tell them that there is such a thing as a "tesseract", which, if you didn't know, is a wrinkle in time. Meg's father had been experimenting with time travel when he suddenly disappeared. Will Meg, Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin outwit the forces of evil as they search through space for their father?
Bridging science and fantasy, darkness and light, fear and friendship, the story has become a classic of children's literature and is beloved around the world.
A Wrinkle in Time is the first audiobook in The Time Quintet, which consists of A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time.

Waiting a long time
I listened to the original recording by L’Engle when I was a child and no other narrator has done this story justice like the author. I’m so glad to have these on audible.

AMAZING
I've loved this book since I was a kid. It has meant the world to me to actually have it ready by the author. I'm super excited to share this book with my own daughter. I hope she loves it as much as I do.

One of my favorite books from childhood
A Remarkable tale of suspense sci-fi and self awakening. I read this as a tween and always looked back on it fondly. I was pleased that it holds up to be a wonderful read today!

Great story!
Narration perhaps not the best, but love the story. Read it to our children when they were young and I enjoyed listening to it for myself. I would say it is a story about the strength of love.

Don't get the Oprah Version!
Once you learn that outer space is imaginary it makes these kinds of books a little silly but it's still a great work of fiction.

A Modern Days Prophet
As someone whose interest is peaked by the creatures of the next cognitive evolutionary step, and the extra-dimensionality of perfection, this book (and series from what I have peaked ahead) is entirely standard setting. I am quite surprised this series is not held to an esteem that is almost that of a Prophet of God. If one is interested in beginning the pursuit of understanding the conflict, I personally believe, that goes on with the Watchers, Angles, and to a very real extent, God, this book should be on your list. There are Ultimate Truths in this book that will be more than just challenging to wrap your head around, but L’Engle has successfully written them to where if the listener persists in the mindset she advocates for, a child could master an understanding of it.
Comes as highly recommended as possible. The only downside to this book and it’s series, like I mentioned at the beginning, is that it is Standard Setting, meaning after you finish it, you will find yourself holding other books to it’s criteria and finding them lacking. I look forward to the types of books this series will inspire me to get through.
