Story
A full-cast BBC Radio 4 dramatisation of an Agatha Christie story. On a flight from Le Bourget to Croydon, on which Hercule Poirot is an apprehensive passenger, a woman is found dead. A doctor on board is inclined to put it down to a wasp-sting, but Poirot suspects that a poisoned dart is the real cause - and, perhaps rather too conveniently, a blow pipe is discovered stuffed down the back of his seat. Clearly the murder can only have been committed by one of the passengers or crew on the plane.

Story
A foggy night... a lonely country house... and a woman with a gun in her hand quietly surveying the dead body of her husband. It looked like a straightforward case of murder. Or was it? As the ghosts of an old wrong begin to emerge from the past, the case begins to look anything but straightforward... First staged at the Duchess Theatre in London in 1958, this play ran for 604 performances and is as gripping and ingenious as you would expect from the Queen of Crime.

Publisher's Summary
There's Rosemary, that's for remembrance. Published in 1945, Sparkling Cyanide is all about remembrance. It begins with six characters recalling the horrific death of Rosemary Barton, a beautiful but shallow young heiress poisoned by a cyanide-spiked glass of champagne whilst celebrating her birthday at a smart London restaurant. Rosemary haunts all six characters, each of them a suspect, throughout the story - and it's not until her killer is found and her ghost laid to rest that the group can move on, though they will never forget. With a distinguished cast including Peter Wight and Amanda Drew, this wonderfully entertaining production retains the thrill of Agatha Christie's clever, compulsive story.

Good performance/Typical Christie plot
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
BBC productions always rate highly, especially on sale.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Most interesting is the mathematical possibilities between four couples...
Least interesting is why points of view are limited until the denouement...
Which scene was your favorite?
Where the poisoning occurs..."Black Coffee" is another example.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My disappointment was not in the performances, but in the plot, which was not predictable due to hidden information...A second listening may prove me wrong...
Any additional comments?
Still a good buy and proof that troupe performances make for good entertainment!

Amanda Drew did a e2eeasonavle job of narrating this book, but I think I've been spoilt by listening to Hugh Fraser., Joan Hicks on & David Suchet.
The story was good and I've seen the television version but I still got the culprit wrong when will I learn it's the one you least expect does it I'll remember that in my next audio book, maybe then I'll get it righ
