Publisher's Summary
From Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, the authors of the top 10 best seller The Wife Between Us, comes An Anonymous Girl - an electrifying novel about doubt, passion and deadly obsession....
Seeking women ages 18-32 to participate in a study on ethics and morality. Generous compensation. Anonymity guaranteed.
When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive, and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr Shields may know what she’s thinking...and what she’s hiding. As Jess’ paranoia grows, it becomes clear that she can no longer trust what is real in her life and what is one of Dr Shields’ manipulative experiments. Caught in a web of deceit and jealousy, Jess quickly learns that some obsessions can be deadly.

A well narrated interesting thriller
This is my second book by this duo and I really like their style of writing. The way the book begins and the place it ends are poles apart and as a good thriller should be, the story takes through multiple twists and turns. The best part I like about their style is the way you keep shifting the view of the characters as it's layers unfold.

Started of slow, but so worth it!
It started very slow and only here by chapter 40 it started getting interesting and exciting, however it needed the first 40 chapters to supply background in order for it to be so hard hitting! I loved how their voices transferred me into the book, their techniques were good for the various voices.

Totally implausible but great fun
A rollicking good story about a young woman who gets sucked into a manipulative psychiatrist’s web of mind games. It’s chock full of hyperbole (endless cliffhangers, twists and situations causing adrenal gland overdrive) but no less entertaining for it. Recommended.

The whole story seems utterly pointless... I gave up after 5.5 hours. I loved The Wife Between us and wanted to see if this book would lead anywhere more interesting as it unfolded.. But I couldn't care less about any of the characters and didn't see where the story was heading at all! Disappointed.

Highly enjoyable psychological thriller
I enjoyed this book and was gripped from start to finish. It is an unusual story about passion and obsession and the lengths one woman will go to. The characters are well developed and I felt drawn to the main female Jessica and her relationship with Dr Shields. The narration was very good and the voices suited the characters. This is the type of book I struggle to pause and feel befeft when finished.
