This audiobook takes listeners from boardrooms to back rooms to reveal how a quintessential Indian brand from the house of the Tatas, not known till then for its success in the consumer goods market, reached such remarkable heights.

Story
The 19th century was an exciting time of initiative and enterprise around the world. If John D. Rockefeller was creating unimagined wealth in the United States that he would put to the service of the nation, a Parsi family with humble roots was doing the same in India. The Tatas is a tribute to a line of visionaries who have a special place in the hearts and minds of ordinary Indians. Written by seasoned journalist Girish Kuber, this is also the only book that tells the complete Tata story spanning almost 200 years.

Publisher's Summary
From being one of the earliest members of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Vajpayee blossomed into a leading opposition MP by the late 1960s and went on to become External Affairs Minister in the short-lived Janata government and, finally in 1999, to head the first non-Congress government to complete a full term in office. That it was a coalition government made the feat all the more remarkable and testifies to the fact that though wedded to a right-wing political ideology, Vajpayee did not believe in the politics of exclusion.
A protégé of Jana Sangh stalwarts like Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Vajpayee won the admiration of Jawaharlal Nehru, was consulted by his daughter Indira Gandhi - whom he never lacked the courage to criticize - and was befriended by fiery trade unionist George Fernandes even before they became political allies. He thus displayed an unusual ability to carry along all shades of political opinion - an ability that came to the fore when he headed the National Democratic Alliance government between 1999 and 2004. And behind this public persona was an unusual personal life, conducted with such dignity as to remain free of innuendo.
In this book journalist Kingshuk Nag traces the political journey of this tall parliamentarian of over four decades, who was conferred the Bharat Ratna in December 2014. Atal Bihari Vajpayee: A Man for All Seasons is a definitive account of the life and times of one of India's most illustrious non-Congress leaders.

The Smiling Buddha of India
As millennial, it was only a name of a PM whom I had heard of while growing up. I can say there was much to the person that the world doesn't know. This book is not just a political journey journal for Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, but it too does open the doors to a large extent of his personal life. A person whom most of us have been accustomed to watch in speeches , but this book gives insights of the action behind those speeches. I must say , that the book does fantastic job to satisfy a Atal fan and even sparks curiosity to a person who is knowing him for the first time.

life history best orrated of a GIANT POLITICIAN
Nicely orated... greatly covered. Although I feel there r some missing parts about Nuclear tests.. Ban on India by U.S. AND foremost Sonia Ji and Atal ji.... Modiji and Atalji.... Moreover a little emphasis on relation of Atalji and Jaswant Sinha ji and Jeorge Fernandez ji. Although I must confess... Atalji was a man with many faces and lives. Impossible to cover all in a book's limits.. Overall it's an ellaborative one.. Fun listening to the book..
