The wise men as they were known considered not just the birth and life of Jesus as significant but they were also aware of the coming death. - The Gold was to honor the Royalty and Kingship of Jesus, - The Frankincense was to recognize the Priestly role and command. - The myrrh was to acknowledge principle reason for His life and that is Savior. Luke 2:11 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
