 In this episode of Sasquatch Theory, I interview Wayne from Arizona — a combat veteran who has experienced multiple unexplained encounters spanning decades.

Wayne recounts a vivid sighting from the 1980s while traveling a forest service road at dusk. In his rearview mirror, he noticed a bright red figure moving rapidly between the trees. As he slowed down, the creature came into full view — an enormous, nine-foot-tall, auburn-colored being with a conical head, long swinging arms, and a muscular, almost orangutan-like appearance. The creature appeared completely unconcerned with Wayne’s presence, calmly parting the trees before disappearing into the thicket.

The encounter lasted roughly 30 seconds — long enough for Wayne to question whether what he was seeing could possibly be real. Years later, in 2016, Wayne and a friend were camping near the Mogollon Rim with two campers positioned about 20 feet apart and a campfire between them.

As darkness fell and both men retreated to their campers, Wayne began hearing strange vocalizations from the woods — sounds that didn’t resemble coyotes, but instead resembled laughter followed by what he described as “samurai chatter.” Both men armed themselves, and when Wayne verbally warned the unseen presence that he would defend himself if necessary, the activity abruptly stopped.

Wayne believes there were multiple entities in the area that night — possibly an entire clan observing the camp. He also discusses a lifetime of paranormal experiences and near-death events that have shaped his understanding of reality and the unknown. This episode explores Bigfoot encounters, wilderness intimidation, and the thin line between the physical and the paranormal.
