About this listen
The Petersfeld Men’s Shed has many activities - wood and metal working, bike repair, music, computing and community projects in schools and charities; they're just completing bird boxes for a starling project and shows the tensegrity table a member has just made.
The idea is to occupy your hands or learn new skills and to combat loneliness and depression.
They have about 100 members but intend to offer a drop-in for people to try them out.
Chairman, Nick Broom, speaking to Mike Waddington, talks about their current activities , their plans and their role - including a grant to make it more usable in a wheelchair.
