About this listen
Discussions of listening for symbolic meaning when crafting a vocational journey. Concepts covered include the Ego, unconscious, differences in Freudian and Jungian ideas of consciousness, Jungian thought outside of the therapy context.
Dana Kabaila (host) is a Jungian coach and narrative therapist. Kane Parsons (guest) is a counsellor, naturopathic medicine practitioner, philosopher and Jungian analysis Diploma candidate at the CG Jung Institute in Switzerland.
In this episode of the Jungian Coaching Room, Kane describes his early in life interest in the imaginal realm and eagerness to search for enlightenment. He embarked on a three year residential program on Jñāna yoga (path of knowledge) in India as a young man. His path changed direction again when he left to study psychology rather than become a monk.
In this episode, we play with free associations to freshly generated symbols and land on some images of intense beauty and a multitude of meaning potential.
