Initially, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, was given a daily arrest quota of 1,800. Fast forward to May 2025, and that number skyrocketed to 3,000—as if that wasn’t enough, the administration's border czar, Tom Homan, has proposed raising the quotas to an astonishing 7,000 arrests per day.
