 Markets have rallied for four straight sessions and are once again pressing toward all-time highs. With price action improving, markets are close to coming off a momentum sell signal—and if upside follow-through holds, that shift could occur as soon as today. A confirmed breakout would provide much-needed "wind beneath the wings" for investor confidence heading deeper into earnings season. Today's focus turns to several mega-cap earnings reports, where recent pullbacks have created short-term trading opportunities. Apple reports this week following a notable selloff, leaving the stock technically oversold. In that setup, it may not take a dramatic earnings beat to generate upside momentum. Options markets are currently implying a 4–7% move, assuming results surprise to the upside. The key risk, however, lies less in the earnings print and more in forward guidance—strong results paired with cautious outlooks can still disappoint. Amazon continues to consolidate sideways, while Microsoft has rallied into earnings and recently triggered a momentum buy signal despite facing overhead resistance. A better-than-expected report could be enough to push shares through those levels. Meta, though slightly overbought short term, remains in a broader oversold context and could also benefit from positive earnings surprises. Taken together, recent pullbacks across several Mag-7 stocks appear to have formed a tradable bottom—not necessarily a durable one, but one that presents tactical opportunity as earnings drive near-term price action.
