A young boy and girl named Topsy and Tim visit a rural property with their mother to see a family friend. During their stay, the children take on various agricultural chores, such as gathering a dozen fresh eggs from the nesting area and helping guide dairy cows to the milking facility. Their adventure includes a brief encounter with hostile geese that forces them to seek safety in a barn and climb over a stone wall. The siblings also learn how to bottle-feed a calf by encouraging the young animal to drink milk from a pail. As they prepare to leave, the farmer rewards their hard work by returning the eggs they had misplaced along with a gift of fresh cream.
