About this listen
The title for this episode very much could be: The Things You Only Say Aloud To Your Best Friend.
This is the first episode of many to come, that I sit down with one of my best friends to just talk about the things we only say to each other through a 20-minute voice note. You know... those messages you try to keep short, but before you know it, you’re spilling your heart and soul into the phone, hoping she’ll know exactly what to say on the other side.
The conversations you wish you could have with more people about the realest parts of life. From what life is really like on the other side of shutting your once very successful company down, to the parts of motherhood people are struggling with but not saying aloud, to the complete whirlwind it is to let go of who you once were but have no idea who you are becoming.
This is a real, raw, honest conversation about life in your mid-30s to early 40s, when your life looks nothing like you planned, but somehow you couldn’t imagine it any other way.
This is the kind of conversation that makes you feel less alone in the thoughts you’ve been carrying quietly. The ones that only come out when you’re talking to someone who knows every version of you... past, present, and the one still unfolding.
If you’re in a season of transition… if you’ve outgrown parts of your old life but haven’t quite landed in the next one yet… if you’ve found yourself wondering, is anyone else feeling this way? This episode is for you.
Pull up a chair. Put your headphones in. And consider this your reminder that you’re not behind, you’re not broken, and if you desperately want to have these conversations in a voice note at 10pm, join us.
