About this listen

Psalm 37 speaks directly to one of the greatest distractions in our lives—the actions of other people. When we see evildoers prosper or appear to “get away with it,” it can consume our thoughts, stir anger, and even tempt us toward envy or retaliation. But David gives clear instruction: “Fret not thyself because of evildoers… Cease from anger, and forsake wrath.”

Living in a broken world means we will see injustice, sin, and wrongdoing. Yet we are warned not to allow those realities to drive our thinking or control our actions. God remains the righteous Judge. Those who seem to prosper in evil are still accountable to Him. Our responsibility is not to take matters into our own hands, but to focus on what God has set before us. When we release the need to control what others are doing and trust God with justice, we are freed to live faithfully, purposefully, and at peace.
